On the CircuPool RJ-Plus series salt chlorine generators, the system has a temperature system that helps ensure it works properly as your pool water gets warmer and cooler throughout the year. When the pool water is outside of its operating range (if the water gets too cold for chlorination, for example), the Control Module's "generate" light will flash and a corresponding message will display on the screen. This can be common later in the year in more northern climates. For confirmation, if you press the "menu" button, the water temperature that the cell is measuring will be displayed.
If however, if the system reads that the water is too cold or too hot and this water temperature measurement greatly differs to what is actually happening in your climate, then this may indicate that the temperature sensor has been damaged.
