You will winterize the pool the same way you always have (this is different for depending on your region). Like your other pool equipment, you'll simply want to protect your Universal-Series chlorine generator from freeze-damage that would occur when low temperatures might cause freezing water to expand and damage your plumbing.
As a tip, if you super-chlorinate your pool before winter, allow the chlorine generator to assist you as much as possible - leave to running constantly at 100% to raise the chlorine level as close as possible to your desired level of super-chlorination.
If after you close your pool down you choose to remove your pool equipment, there is an optional Universal-Series Bypass Cell that can allow you to remove the Electrolytic Cell and then replace it in the plumbing for a sealed system: https://www.circupool.com/CircuPool%C...
