The flow switch should have at least 6" of straight pipe before it, and it will work whether it is horizontal or vertical.
Can the convertor cell be mounted vertically and the flow detector be mounted on the adjacent horizontal run ? What horizontal straight tube length should precede the flow device along the horizontal tube run ? CircuPool® Vertical Installation Kit Brand Adapter Kits
