My sand filter does not trap the very fine dust. Will this capture the fine particals?

The prefilter is very effective at capturing dust and sediment. It is rated to be effective at removing 96% of all heavier than dirt particulate down to 30 Microns, and 75% down to 20 Microns. It can capture debris as small as 5 microns.
