No, the threads in reference for such cells, unions, collars, stands have been an industry standard for decades. From your description, is it possible your existing collars have damaged threads?
I have received two of these cells from a CircuPool dealer and both of them will not thread onto my CircuPool RJ60+ union collars. They will thread onto the cleaning stand. Has CircuPool changed the suppliers recently, or changed the threads on one or the other? CircuPool® Bypass Cell for RJ-PLUS and UL-Series Salt Systems
