Looks like I put too much salt on my pool, currently at 5000, Will this damage the unit? CircuPool Universal Series Salt Chlorine Generators - Owner Resources Universal Series

Pinch a penny registered 2600ppm and recommended 150 lbs. Of salt I added 4 bags but now the unit is flashing the high salt and registering 5000 salt level

It will not damage the unit, however it will shut the unit down to protect itself. Ensure that your system is set to the correct cell type and if so you can simply drain some water out of the pool and then add fresh water back into the pool to dilute the salt level some.
