I originally bought a RJ-60 plus system. Can I use a RJ-45 plus replacement cell with it?
Replacement Cells
My pool is 29,000 gal and I bought the RJ-60 plus system a few years ago. I have to keep the setting around 30% to keep at desired chlorine levels. Would prefer to run at higher setting which would be possible if I stepped down to RJ-45 cell. Is the RJ-45 cell compatible with my RJ-60 controller? My goal is to reduce the chlorine concentration during operation to help reduce iron staining potential that comes with high chlorine concentrations (especially at lower pump flows). Thank you

Yes, you can use the different sized RJ Plus cells on the same control module. The unit should detect which cell you connect to the controller. To be sure it recognized the correct cell press the menu button until you reach the "cell type" and that size cell should be selected, RJ+30, RJ+45,RJ+60. If the incorrect cell type is selected the salt readings will not be accurate and could cause the unit to display warning lights. You can change the cell type using the red arrows at the bottom of the keypad.
