What is the process of changing over to a chlorinator. Do I add salt immediately?
CircuPool CORE35 Salt Chlorine Generator
Salt Chlorinators
I'm buying a CORE35 and my pool is currently on a diet of hockey pucks. My Chlorine level is fine as it is today. When I change over to the CORE, do I need to wait till the Chlorine level drops or add salt to the pool right away. How much salt is recommended for that initial dose?

It is not necessary to deplete the existing chlorine before you add salt or install your CircuPool Core Chlorine Generator. You are going to want to add 30 pounds of salt for every 1000 gallons of water in your pool. Then, once that salt is dissolved, the chlorine generator will be able to function. It will not hurt anything if you add the salt beforehand!
