Will I still need to add acid to lower alkalinity or will my alkalinity stabilize with this system?
CircuPool TOTALBalance pH Control System with Patented CO2 Infusion
pH Control
How does the PH control system impact alkalinity? CO2 doesn't appear to lower alkalinity, so I'm wondering if I'd still need to add acid to control the alkalinity and, if so, would it be required less frequently with the PH control system installed?

You do not need to add additional acid in order to adjust the alkalinity. Essentially, high alkalinity is not a concern since the system is constantly infusing the CO2 for pH control - the buffer that the alkalinity provides is no longer necessary since the stability is provided by the infused CO2. It is very common to have higher than normal alkalinity but for the system to achieve balanced pH with normal amounts of CO2 usage.
