The unit works on a duty cycle and sometimes it goes into a rest. When it is in a rest cycle it will read 0.00 amperage and 0000 instant salinity. To confirm if it is working correctly you can temporarily increase the power up to 100% and if those readings start displaying on the screen then that will tell you it was just in a rest cycle.
