I bought a SmartFlo 1.5P pump and SJ Series generator. Wiring question. CircuPool SmartFlo Series Variable Speed Pool Pumps - Owner Resources Pumps

I have both wired to my mechanical timer. The generator is to run during periods of high flow. Do I rewire the pump directly and set the run times manually, and then set the mechanical timer to operate the Generator at the same times?

The CircuPool SmartFlo series of Variable Speed Pumps are designed to be wired directly to the electric circuit. Operation and timing are programmed with the pump's built-in timer. Your salt chlorinator can either operate per the flow switch when the pump is providing adequate water flow or the salt chlorinator can be wired to your existing timer and the operation of the unit tailored to a specific time range within the pump's operating period.
