Salt does not get depleted or evaporate, so the typical reason for continual salt loss is a leak. Only dilution / removal of water from the pool can lower the salinity levels; this would include rain, draining, splash-out, and the like. If a leak or anything similar is continually happening, it would also be causing chlorine and causing the other chemical levels to be continually imbalanced.
