This union set is the same as what comes with the complete CORE chlorine generator system. It consists of two PVC slip fittings and two threaded collars. The slip fittings glue to 2" ID PVC plumbing, and the threaded collars xxxx on to the body of the CORE unit, compressing the fittings to the body in order to create a complete seal.
