Should the unit be running hot? Seems very hot to touch on top of control panel.

Your CircuPool Universal Series Salt Chlorine Generator should not feel hot. Open the control module, remove the face plate fasteners, and check if the cooling fan runs after powering the unit back on. At this point, please call our technical support team at (888) 206-9938. We can assist you with replacing the fan or arrange for evaluation and repair of the control module.
