We understand your concern about your CircuPool Universal Series Salt Chlorine Generator displaying a "Hot" message. This message indicates a failure in the temperature sensor. To fix this, you begin by rerouting the temperature reading from the cell to the flow switch by moving a "jumper" inside the control module. Detailed instructions on how to do this can be found here: https://www.circupool.com/assets/doc/How-to-Install-the-Temperature-Flow-Switch
--CircuPool-UL-Si.pdf.
Start at Step 2 on the second page of the instructions. This should get your salt chlorinator working again, with it reverting to a default temperature, and enabling it to resume chlorine production. [Important Point: Do not move the jumper back to the original position later.]
However, don't forget to contact our technical support team at (888) 206-9938. They will confirm your warranty coverage and assist you with acquiring a new temperature/flow switch. Once you install the new switch according to the first page of the instructions, your repair will be complete.
