Does the outside of this fitting accept a 2.5” PVC coupling? CircuPool® Replacement Union - RJ-N (3rd Gen.) Models Parts & Accessories

I have 2.5” plumbing, do I need to reduce to 2” ahead of this union or will this union fit into a 2.5” coupling, like many other pool valves are configured.

The CircuPool RJ-PLUS series of salt chlorinators are designed to work with 2" PVC pipe and include adapter bushings for 1.5" pipe. If you have the less common 2.5" plumbing, then you will need to employ ordinary PVC adapter bushings to transition between 2.5" and 2" pipe.
