In the CircuPool Universal series of saltwater chlorinators, if you see a 'SLO' warning, it indicates a low salt level. However, before adding more salt, validate the salinity with a separate test. It's also crucial to check the System Status menu to ensure it shows the correct Cell Type. For the Universal 25, 40, and 55, the cell types should be F-9, F-15, and t-15, respectively. You may receive incorrect salinity readings if the cell type is incorrect. Follow this video to reset the cell type. Also, ensure the salt cell is clean. Acid washing a dirty cell can sometimes resolve issues related to incorrect salinity. If these steps don't resolve your issue, please call us at (866) 766-5243 for technical support.
