The good news is that your alkalinity needs will be different: high alkalinity is no longer the critical level that it was before. You do not need to add additional acid in order to adjust the alkalinity.
Essentially, high alkalinity is not a concern since the system is constantly infusing the CO2 for pH control - the buffer that the alkalinity provides is no longer necessary since the stability is provided by the infused CO2. It is very common to have higher than normal alkalinity but for the system to achieve balanced pH with normal amounts of CO2 usage.
