The Universal 40 is to replace my SI + 45 unit. My old unit is male threaded. The photo doesn't show any threads? CircuPool® UL40 Replacement Cell Replacement Cells

My old unit itself has male threads on the outside, with the hand tighteners (with the female threads) to install the unit onto the existing piping. My existing piping also has the O-rings in it. The picture of this unit seems to show a unit that must be PVC cemented into other piping. Is this correct? Can I simply install this unit into my existing system? I can send pictures of my existing system, if that would help. Thanks for claryfing.

The CircuPool Universal Series of Salt Chlorinators are a newer generation of the Si models. All cell lengths, thread types, and connectors are unchanged and the parts fit and exchange seamlessly.
