Like most pool equipment, the CircuPool TJ-16 Typhoon Cyclonic Pre-Filter is designed for 2" pipes, but again, like other pool equipment, commonly available reducer bushings (2"-1 1/2") allow you to connect to 1 1/2" pipes.
