I can understand why that has you uncertain. We stand behind the recommendation in the users manual which states 30-50 PPM levels for CYA - aka Stabilizer or Cyanuric Acid.
Below 30 PPM, you have inadequate protection of your chlorine from the sun. Over 50 PPM, CYA adds no further protection, but increased CYA will decrease the effectiveness of your chlorine increasing chlorine demand.
