The CircuPool® CIR-GEN15 and the GEN-15+ Aftermarket Replacement Cells both fit Hayward® AquaRite® 40,000 Gal. Models and each have a rated lifespan of 10,000 hours.
The GEN 15+, however, has a clear case allowing a good view of the cell condition, maximum chlorine output is 9-10% higher than the GEN 15 and it has a 4 year limited warranty vs 3 years for the GEN 15. Note that although they both carry a 10,000 hour expected life span, the higher output from the GEN 15+ translates into a longer life since, all other things being equal, the GEN 15 cell will operate at a lower percentage output to produce the same amount of chlorine and consequently put fewer operating hours on the cell.
