The SmartFlo Adaptive Flow variable-speed pump does not use an internal, direct-reading water flow meter. It uses sensorless flow technology: the pump analyzes a number of factors in its operating data uses a built-in hydraulic model to estimate flow, then adjusts RPM to help achieve and maintain the selected GPM target as conditions change. You do not enter your pool’s pump curve or plumbing data. The pump is pre-programmed to estimate flow automatically. So your experience is simply programming times and flow rates for it to run, using either the on-board controls or the pump app (easy).
