Upgrading from an RJ 30 to an RJ 60 significantly increases the system's chlorine production potential. There are two ways this can be beneficial. First, on a regular basis, the system works less hard to produce the normal amount of chlorine that the pool needs. This means that the system gets less wear-and-tear on its cell and can last that much longer. Second, you have "power in reserve" - since the system is not running near the peak of its chlorination output, you will be able to "turn it up" much higher if pool problems do arise. Being able to produce more chlorine more quickly helps give you more control over the pool, and can help prevent larger problems from arising, say after heavy storms or a pool party.
