In general, if you are not getting a warning light, it is important to understand that when you measure chlorine in the pool, you are only able to detect the leftover, unneeded amount of chlorine in the water – which is a few steps removed from the system. Without a warning light, the system generates a consistent and precise amount of chlorine according to the output setting you choose and the run time you give it, and if those factors haven't changed but free chlorine levels are going down, then this indicates rising chlorine demand of the water. If you haven't already, turn up the chlorine output, and increase its run time if needed.
If you have a model which properly sized for the pool, and are already running the system at 100% output throughout the day at this point, then this typically means there are factors in the water that need to get addressed. Please see this low chlorine troubleshooting guide which will 1) allow you to confirm your system’s generation and then 2) will give more helpful information about correcting issues that can significantly increase chlorine demand (this is common, and unfortunately, many pool stores don’t fully assist with this). You mentioned that the pool was newly filled - this can be a period of high chlorine demand, for example if micro-organisms began to grow and multiply in the water before there was enough chlorine added to build up a residual free chlorine level. Similarly, if stabilizer has not been added or if pH has not been balanced, the chlorine may be getting burned off by the sun or may be too slow-acting to keep up with micro-organism growth. If you are getting a warning light, however, this means the system is not generating chlorine, and the issue should be addressed following the complete RJ-Series troubleshooting guide.
