Currently, the EDGE series doesn't support a higher capacity cell. If your current EDGE40 is still in good condition, a simple way to get more pool sanitation capacity is to add an ozone generator, which also provide several other significant benefits. Not only does ozone boost your capability to purify the water, it is a much more powerful oxidizer to get deal with non-living organic waste as well as chlorine-resistant microorganisms. Since ozone boosts your sanitation capacity, it also helps reduce wear-and-tear on the salt cell to help extend its lifespan. Additionally, ozone acts as a clarifier to improve the water's appearance.
If your EDGE40 is in need of replacement, then you might otherwise consider the larger models available such as the RJ60+, CORE55, or CORE CONTROL 55.
