If you have any possibility of using the CORE Balance Control water chemistry automation, its best if you CORE CONTROL cell is installed and operated horizontally. If you only use the basic CORE CONTROL salt cell without any chemistry automation, there is not typically an issue in having the cell in a vertical position.
