The bypass cell with Model Number BYPASS is said to fit 3rd generation RJ+ series models. How do I know if my RJ45+ is 3rd generation?

You can easily confirm which generation RJ model you have a few different ways. If you purchased your salt chlorinator between roughly 2016 and the time of this writing, if your salt chlorinator or cell is labelled "RJ+" or "RJ-Plus", if your salt chlorinator cell is a straight "pass-through" design and looks like the current imagery online, and/or if your salt chlorinator Control Module has a button in the middle that reads "MENU", this typically indicate that you have the third generation RJ+ series system.
