Is the flow switch necessary? My chlorinator already switches on and off automatically with my pump. CircuPool® SJ-45 Salt Chlorine Generator SJ Series

I am replacing my SGS 540 control panel, but I do not want to have to add the flow switch to the plumbing, since the chlorinator automatically switches off when the pump does.

The flow switch is a required part of the system and is also important for safety.

The plumbing kit linked below is not necessary for your installation, but it shows an image of how you can easily install the flow switch in proximity of the cell housing.
