Is there a separate priming speed/time setting on the pump or do you have to sacrifice SPEED 1 to use for pump priming? The manual is not very clear on this. CircuPool® Classic Combo (Salt Chlorinator + Pump) Pumps

The pump has 4 programmable schedule modes plus a programmable "quick clean" manual mode. Each programmable modes can have its duration and RPMs customized and fine-tuned if desired. However, its presets work for many people. The Speed 1 preset is 3000 RPMs for 2 hours, which helps ensure that you successfully prime the pump every time and get a little bit of the high-flow circulation that any pool needs. You can its presets under "Using the Default Schedule" in the manual.

Take a look at the "Speed 1 and Priming" section of the manual. Under "Custom Priming Speed (Optional)" it goes over how in many cases the higher motor speed setting desired for SPEED 1 will be sufficient to prime the pump, but if it isn't, you can follow the instructions to activate a Custom Priming Speed and set it to run between 1-10 minutes. Please be sure to read all of the instructions thoroughly.
