The RJ-PLUS will display the power level for the cell in percentages (0-100%), which represents the rate of chlorine output of the system. This is the main setting on the system which you will control. You’ll want to set its power level (Chlorine Output) in order to maintain the free chlorine in your pool between 1-3ppm. The "right setting" for the system will be wholly unique to your pool's needs, and typically changes gradually over the course of the season.
To find the optimum Chlorine Output setting, you can start at a setting of 75% and adjust as needed over the initial start up period. Measure your available chlorine in the pool after two to three days, and adjust the Chlorine Output level accordingly. If the available chlorine is too high, lower the Output level; if the available chlorine is too low, raise the Output level. It will take a few adjustments to find the ideal setting for your pool. Once set for the pool’s current needs, it should only take minor adjustments of the system’s power level and/or pump run times throughout the season..
