At any point when a CircuPool RJ PLUS is registering 0 amps (reaching the cell), it is not generating chlorine at that moment in time. However, these systems prorate generating chlorine at 100% output and "resting." As an example, at 60% output, your chlorinator will, in aggregate, generate chlorine at 100% output for 60% of the time and produce no chlorine for 40% of the operating time. During these rest periods, amps will register at 0. If you are trying to verify chlorine production or check the instantaneous salinity level, temporarily adjust output to Power Max first.
If you are struggling to establish a satisfactory Free Chlorine level, give us a call with your water chemistry readings in hand, preferably when you can also be at your system.
