There are several things to check if your CircuPool RJ-PLUS Series Salt Chlorinator won't power up. First, be certain that you have good power reaching the unit. Next, check and press the reset button on the bottom of the control module (CM). It should either respond with a positive click (and hopefully light up the panel) or it will feel loose and not engage. Finally, with power cut off to the CM, disconnect the cell cord, remove the CM from the wall, remove the six screws on the back, and open it up. At this point, you will be able to spot a small automotive-style blade fuse. Inspect the fuse and replace it if blown. Closing up the CM, reapply power and see whether it comes on. If power is restored, allow it to stay on for a short while to see whether the fuse holds. If the fuse holds, turn the unit off and re-connect the salt cell. If the unit holds power, you are done. If the unit fails to come on or continues to blow fuses as these steps are followed, please call us at (888) 206-9938, weekdays between 9-4:30 Central.
