There are a number of steps to take if your CircuPool RJ PLUS Salt Chlorinator will not turn on.
To begin, verify that you have good power reaching the Control Module (CM) and then press the reset button on the bottom of the CM. The reset button should affirmatively click if it had tripped and will otherwise feel loose and will not press in.
If the reset button failed to solve the issue, then you should cut power going to the CM, remove it from the wall and then unscrew the backplate. Next, identify and inspect the small automotive-style blade fuse. If the fuse has blown, then replace the fuse. You may wish to try replacing the fuse if you are at all uncertain of the fuse's condition.
With the cell disconnected, reapply power to the CM. If the CM powers up and stays on, then cut power, connect the salt cell, and then reapply power.
At this stage, you are either back in operation or the CM failed to power on or failed to stay on. In the event that you still don't have an operational salt chlorinator, then call us weekdays at (888) 206-9938 between 9-4:30 Central and let us know how this process went and we will assist you from there.
