For the CircuPool RJ PLUS Series of Salt Chlorinators, proper system maintenance is crucial for optimal performance. First, access the system Menu to verify that the Cell Version - the seventh reading - is correct. If you own an RJ 45+, ensure the Cell Version displays as "RJ45+" rather than just "RJ 45." Adjust this using either red arrow key.
When the system reads lower salt levels, it often indicates mineral scaling inside the cell, which can impede power flow and mimic low salt levels. To address this, clean the cell with the acid solution as outlined in the manual. If you've recently cleaned it but still encounter issues, there might be excess scale or debris requiring additional cleaning. In some cases, a cell may need cleaning 3-4 times consecutively to remove heavy buildup.
With a clean cell and the correct cell version, your salt system should measure salinity more accurately. If low salt issues persist, please reach out to our technical support team. Call us at (888) 206-9938, weekdays between 9-4:30 Central, and we'll be happy to assist you further.
