The Cell Current on a CircuPool Universal Series or RJ PLUS Series Salt Chlorinator should only ever display as -4.05 if it is actively generating chlorine ;-)
Seriously, the Cell Current commonly displays between 2.50 to 7.80 amps and may show as a positive or negative amperage.
The negative sign is merely an indication that the unit is on the second Reverse Polarity cycle.
Reversing polarity is central to the "self-cleaning" function of a salt chlorinator which materially decreases the scaling of cell blades, although never totally eliminating the need for cleaning the cell manually.
