There is no accurate answer to the typical salt cell's lifespan. Common answers are 3-5 or 5-7 or 3-7 years. Any given salt cell is subject to its capacity relative to the pool size, climate, water chemistry, length of season, bather load, and other variables. Bear in mind, though that the CircuPool EDGE Series of Salt Chlorinators carries a limited warranty of 7 years meaning that if the cell fails within that period, you are subject to pro-rated coverage for replacing a cell that we determine to have failed.
