The CircuPool RJ-PLUS Series of Salt Chlorinators achieve partial chlorine output by utilizing a duty cycle. This means that the system operates at 100% output for a percentage of the cycle corresponding to the set output level. For instance, if you set the system to 30% output, it will produce chlorine at full capacity for 30% of the time and remain idle for the remaining 70%. During these "rest" periods, the system displays 0 amps, and the real-time salinity reads 0000. Therefore, it's normal for the cell current to occasionally read 0.0. To accurately check salinity or cell current, it's recommended to temporarily set the output to "Power Max."
