Why does the salt now reading show 0?
It seems to only work when it’s generating?

As you've noted, the CircuPool RJ PLUS Series of Salt Chlorinators will only provide a real-time salinity figure when it is actively generating chlorine. If the chlorinator is in a resting period and you wish to check the real-time salinity, temporarily turn the output up to Power Max and then toggle through the Menu to get the salinity reading.
