No, the flow switch must not have any device after it other than the salt cell.
If there is no room for it between your heater and the cell, then install it after the cell with the same specified straight pipe length ahead of the switch.
If you have an integrated, inline salt cell, as opposed to an electrode style, consider a vertical installation which requires only a small section of straight horizontal pipe.
