When do you need to replace RJ 45+ cell.
CircuPool RJ-PLUS Series Salt Chlorine Generators - Owner Resources
RJ PLUS Series
I have the Circupool RJ 45+ that I installed in 2019. The Lo Salt and Cell Maint. lights are on. The reading at 7am was 2400. I added 40 pounds salt and at 2pm the reading is still 2400. This is about 1000 ppm lower than 2 different independent tests.
I cleaned the cell yesterday. It is clear with no build up noticeable.
Do I just need a new cell?

The behaviour you related - false low salt warnings and check cell warnings on a clean cell - are classic indicators of a worn out cell. In particular, with the cell being seven or eight years old, it becomes a virtual certainty that it is time for a new cell.
BTW, if you don't already own a bypass (winter) cell, then you should keep this cell around for that very purpose.
