You can install the RJ+ Generator with the high point of the cell up. This is standard. Note that the manual discusses the cell being oriented so that its offset portion is down for the following reason. If you have a variable speed pump, it can technically be possible to set it so that its low speed programming provides too low of flow. Having the cell's offset portion be down can help prevent a pocket of air from slowly forming in the cell during the lowest flow operation, however the other side of the coin is that you can incrementally raise the speed of your pump's lowest setting so that it does not cause this problem and provides adequate flow. If your installation prevents the cell from having the offset portion of the cell be down, and if you ever run into that dynamic (which is not even necessarily common), then your setup would simply dictate that you set your pump's programming accordingly.
