Using a current switch as additional protection for the CircuPool RJ-60 is certainly not standard. However, it is standard to put a salt chlorinator on the same circuit as the pump so they always are given power together in tandem, which helps provide an extra layer of safety by providing an additional way to ensure the system generates only when the pump runs. A current switch if you have one might achieve the same thing, assuming it is rated to work appropriately - but that is not common. Please feel free to share more specifics or ask other questions.
