No, these two models are not interchangeable. You would simply cut out the SJ model and plumb the RJ model in its place. You can also speak with our tech support team at 888-206-9938 x2 for more detail.
If you have the SJ20 and upgrade to the RJ30 plus, do all the replacement parts fit where the SJ20 parts were? For example the cell fittings? CircuPool® Classic Combo (Salt Chlorinator + Pump) RJ PLUS Series
