CircuPool® Classic Combo (Salt Chlorinator + Pump) Q&A
Activity timeframe
Hello. I have an RJ-60+ which is rated at 300W, so presumably it only draws 1.36A at 220V. However, the manual also mentions the cell current ranging between 2.5 and 7.8 amps. I can also see the cell current displayed when I cycle through the menu options. For example, at 50%, it shows 5.7 amps. I'm assuming this cell current is different from the load on the circuit breaker. Can you confirm please? View answer

I have a variable speed pump. <!--I run at 2500 rpm for 2 hours, 1000 rpm for 10 hours, and 800 rpm for 12 hours.--> The question is, when I am at the low speed I suspect the flow will not be enough for the flow switch to read so it will not produce salt. Is this correct? Will this harm the system? If I purchase this my plan is to set the pump speeds to get the chlorine level I need. Pool is 15000 gallons View answer

Hello, What is the minimum flow rate (GPM) for operation for the CircuPool Core series? I currently have a Jandy VSP pump that I run at 1200 rpms that generates 22 gpm. Would the Chlorinator work at this low flow rate? Thanks in advance for your assistance. Have a GREAT Day. Regards, Eric Brown View answer

This says it can produce up to 1.4 lbs of chlorine per day. Would this be assuming it is running at 100% output for 24 hours? Just trying to figure out my run time and output settings. Last year I was using about a 1/2 pound to 3/4 pound of chlorine per day before I installed this salt cell View answer

1.Is there a video showing how to install? 2.Also, I have a 30,000 gallon pool, is it better to oversized the salt chlorinate? 3. I am replacing an existing chlorinator, I am very familiar with working with PVC pipe, is this a DIY project? 4. If I install myself are all warranties still in effect. Thank you View answer

Hi, I'm a return customer<!--, I purchased your system when you had a 7-year warranty-->. Well, I think it's time to replace the old system with a new one. My question is... I see a round "white" fitting with wires attached in your photos. What is that? I don't have anything like that on my current system (RJ20 serial # 030282). Also, will the chlorinator fit the same fittings as my old system? Thank You! View answer

Hi, I have a pool of 22.000 gallons with a pump pentair of 2 HP SF-N1-2A (85 GPM Aprox). If I Installed a Universal 40 how many hours a day I must turn on the system ?. I live in Colombia and the temperature of the water is about 84 F. When you talk about 2.0 lb, how many working hours it means ? Regards, Diego. View answer

I have the Edge40. After a big rainstorm, the system told me that salt level was low. I added a few bags, and got it tested. Showings 4500 level. I had it running on high and boost for about 6 hours, yet my chlorine levels were still extremely low. I then cleaned the cell by the book and ran it again for a few hours with no change to chlorine levels. Still shows no chlorine when tested. I looked at the cell with a flashlight while it was running. I did see the electrolysis bubbles being formed. Yet after a few hours the chlorine levels did not rise. Please advise. View answer

I own this system but it sometimes does not produce enough chlorine for my 240 00 gallon pool, guess to runtime being less than 24 hours. can i upgrade to RJ 60 salt cell without changing controller? will controller recognize larger cell and correctly produce chlorine? View answer
