I have the Edge40. After a big rainstorm, the system told me that salt level was low. I added a few bags, and got it tested. Showings 4500 level. I had it running on high and boost for about 6 hours, yet my chlorine levels were still extremely low. I then cleaned the cell by the book and ran it again for a few hours with no change to chlorine levels. Still shows no chlorine when tested. I looked at the cell with a flashlight while it was running. I did see the electrolysis bubbles being formed. Yet after a few hours the chlorine levels did not rise. Please advise.

This just means you haven't reached "breakpoint" chlorination yet. In other words, pools can need lots of extra chlorination/sanitation after. You haven't generated enough chlorine to meet that need yet. You can only test for "leftover" chlorine, so your pool is still needing every bit of chlorine being generated. After that point, it will build up the residual that you will test for. Simply leave your equipment running on high until that is achieved.
