Yes that is correct it will only operate when it senses flow. If your using a variable speed pump it's a good idea to make sure the cell is staying filled with water when running on the lowest set rpm.
I have a variable speed pump with its own timer. Can I leave the salt generator on all the time? Will it run only when it senses water flow with the flow sensor? CircuPool® Classic Combo (Salt Chlorinator + Pump) EDGE Series
