Can I run the system without a salt cell attached? CircuPool CORE Series Salt Chlorine Generators - Owner Resources CORE Series

I am replacing the salt cell, in the meantime can I run the system without it?

A Circupool CORE Series Salt Chlorinator must never be installed in the clear housing without the salt cell attached to the (upper) control module. In the absence of a salt cell, your pool can only be circulated and filtered by employing a "Winter Cap" which screws into place closing off the top opening where the control module/salt cell assembly normally tightens into place.
