CircuPool® Classic Combo (Salt Chlorinator + Pump) Q&A
Activity timeframe
I have a variable speed pump. The question is, when I am at the low speed I suspect the flow will not be enough for the flow switch to read so it will not produce salt. Is this correct? Will this harm the system? If I purchase this my plan is to set the pump speeds to get the chlorine level I need. Pool is 15000 gallons View answer

I have a SJ-series system 4 years ago. works great. I just had a variable speed pool pump installed. It goes threw its own internal timers. does the SJ- series have a built in flow switch sensor built in. Worried about the unit coming on via the old pool timer without the new pump running? I have the Edge40. After a big rainstorm, the system told me that salt level was low. I added a few bags, and got it tested. Showings 4500 level. I had it running on high and boost for about 6 hours, yet my chlorine levels were still extremely low. I then cleaned the cell by the book and ran it again for a few hours with no change to chlorine levels. Still shows no chlorine when tested. I looked at the cell with a flashlight while it was running. I did see the electrolysis bubbles being formed. Yet after a few hours the chlorine levels did not rise. Please advise. View answer

Hello. I have an RJ-60+ which is rated at 300W, so presumably it only draws 1.36A at 220V. However, the manual also mentions the cell current ranging between 2.5 and 7.8 amps. I can also see the cell current displayed when I cycle through the menu options. For example, at 50%, it shows 5.7 amps. I'm assuming this cell current is different from the load on the circuit breaker. Can you confirm please? View answer

I have a 10,000 gallon pool and want to convert to salt. So many questions. It's been 3 years since I drained and replaced 1/2 the water in the pool due to a repair. Should I consider a water replacement prior to conversion ? Under what circumstances should I consider water replacement? Money not an option...which model should I buy? What size? When does increase size not benefit performance for salt conversion power, cell cleaning cycle time, and cell life? Installation should not be a consideration as all would fit my system. Thank you, Bill View answer

How important to place Core35 after the heater? The heater is about 8 feet from the filter but all the plumbing is underground and the wiring will be a longer distance than desired. This will cause me lots of work on new plumbing. I can easily place it between the filter (pool return) and the heater (which we rarely use in Florida). It this acceptable? View answer

1. Is the Core55 UL listed? 2. Does the unit have a flow direction as the console might be facing my filter? 3. At full Chlorine output what is the 120/240 vac amperage (current draw)?? 4. Does the unit have a bonding lug for connection to the pool system grounded conductor? View answer
