The pump is always powered, but has an internal controller as well as variable speed. We can have reduced flow as well as no flow during parts of the day. Will this hurt your system? I have a 10,000 gallon pool and want to convert to salt. So many questions. It's been 3 years since I drained and replaced 1/2 the water in the pool due to a repair. Should I consider a water replacement prior to conversion ? Under what circumstances should I consider water replacement? Money not an option...which model should I buy? What size? When does increase size not benefit performance for salt conversion power, cell cleaning cycle time, and cell life? Installation should not be a consideration as all would fit my system. I have the Edge40. After a big rainstorm, the system told me that salt level was low. I added a few bags, and got it tested. Showings 4500 level. I had it running on high and boost for about 6 hours, yet my chlorine levels were still extremely low. I then cleaned the cell by the book and ran it again for a few hours with no change to chlorine levels. Still shows no chlorine when tested. I looked at the cell with a flashlight while it was running. I did see the electrolysis bubbles being formed. Yet after a few hours the chlorine levels did not rise. Please advise. View answer

All, I received my RJ-30 generator in the winter of 2019, installed for last season, this season I have been fighting with algae growth, and I think it is due to a defective flow sensor, is there some way I can clean it, or otherwise troubleshoot it before I have to replace the whole thing? I touched the wire on it today, and it stopped flickering with no-flow, and started generating again, so I am sure this is the issue. Please let me know, Louise View answer
